Meet the Team

Phillip J. Patti, DipWSET Owner

Throughout his career in the wine industry, Phillip Patti has earned the Wine and Spirits Education Trust Diploma and passed the Court of Master Sommeliers' Certified Sommelier exam. For the last twenty years he has immersed himself in the world of wine, spirits and beer, with a breath of professional experience that includes work in vineyards, restaurants, education, retail, distribution and production. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to Nashville's food and beverage community through this entrepreneurial adventure.

Calvin Webster, DipWSET

Calvin Webster is a beverage consultant and educator based in Nashville, TN. Near the end of a past life as a touring bassist, a canceled fall tour left him in Western Europe amid some of the world’s greatest vineyards. You know the saying, “When life gives you grapes…” Eight years of retail and wholesale experience and a WSET Diploma later, Calvin advises wine and spirits wholesalers and retailers in sales, technology, product mix, and department integration, in addition to his true calling: training the wine and spirits experts of the future! When not consulting, teaching, or writing, Calvin can be found hiking with his wife and two kids, or running a zany game of Dungeons & Dragons with plenty of references to otherworldly wine and spirits.

Evan Danielson, WSET Certified Beer Educator, Certified Cicerone, CSW

Evan Danielson is a 20+ year veteran of the hospitality and beverage industry. Beginning in coffee just out of high school, he has worked his way through several areas of the industry, from “beer-tending” and running bars focused on classic mixology, to overseeing wine and beverage programs throughout the Mid-West and Nashville. Evan heads up Beer qualifications for Southeastern Beverage Education as a Certified Beer Educator for WSET, and has the WSET Level 2 Award in Beer. An avid beer judge and homebrewer, he holds the Certified Cicerone certificate with the Cicerone Program and is a Certified Beer Judge with the BJCP.
